Change Is Important

You may be wondering why it's so important to try and change yo

ur behaviors. One of the reasons why it's important is because, in order to change a behavior, you have to stop doing the old one. A lot of times, people are used to the old behaviors that they do which makes them hard to change. It takes a lot of time and effort for someone to get used to new behaviors which then make them easier. Continuously changing your behaviors will also help your brain stay active like it would from working on puzzles.

The other reason why it's so great to change your behaviors is that people can get used to their current life and not take advantage of all the things they could be doing. A lot of times, when someone has been in a certain situation for a long time, they have come to accept that this is currently their life. They may decide that it's too hard or too much work to change anything so why bother? However! The sooner someone changes something, the longer they'll continue to benefit from it. It always feels better when you know that you're improving yourself for the better.

It can be difficult to change your behaviors because some people are used to the old ones that they do, which makes it hard for them to stop doing those. There might also be other habits that a person has developed like when someone eats junk food and drinks sodas all the time. It takes some time for someone to get used to new behaviors so why not just eat healthy?

One of the behaviors that I've been examining is whether or not I'm spending my time wisely. This means looking at how productive I am during weekday hours versus weekend hours. The other thing that I've been examining is how much time I spent on social media. When I first started examining this, it was shocking to me how much of my day was spent on social media! Nowadays I put my phone to bed in the evening so I can be present with Mark and the other things that I am doing.

Emotional benefits:

- Feel more rested in the morning.

- Wake up feeling refreshed every day, no matter how late you went to bed.

I'm going to change my social media behaviors. I read an article that said the average person spends 4 hours on social media and I was shocked! It's really easy to spend all day there. One thing that I want to do is introduce more downtime in my day so I'm going to cut back on the time I spend on social media.
