Dare To Begin Again

Do you feel like your past is holding you back? Do you ever get so caught up in the what-ifs that it's hard to keep going? I know how it feels, and I want to help. This post will explore the importance of resilience, self-compassion, and starting over.

In the words of Dr. Seuss, "You get so you don't want to have it happen again. You'll see," and with that mindset, I realized he was talking about our own attitude towards life's challenges and how we need to change our perspective to be able to tackle them head-on. It is time for me and many other people who suffer from anxiety or depression to stop living in fear and start living again! The journey will not always be easy but it is worth the risk!

Don't Give Up

I know it's hard to believe that things will ever be different and I don't want you to spend the rest of your life this way. I want you to get out of this loop. The hardest part is taking that first step but once you do, you'll see. So here are a few tips that might help:

1) Learn to let go - Find something in your past that has been worrying you and remind yourself that even if it had happened, it wouldn't have changed anything. It would have just been another thing on your plate! You're not going crazy - I promise - and there are hints of humor everywhere those little bits of happiness are important.

2) If you have an idea for a goal, make sure the goal is attainable and has some type of timeline. For example, your goal could be "I will go on one walk every day this week." Set your own goals depending on what you need to work on most.

3) Learn about self-compassion - Tell yourself that it's okay that you're having this feeling or that thought again. It is important to understand that you are not to blame for your behavior. It is trained behavior that can be unlearned. You do not need to feel guilty about it because it is a feeling that can be ignored and let go of.

4)You need to be strong and fight! You can't give up. The journey is just as important as the destination, so enjoy it all.

5) Don't be afraid to make mistakes - they're opportunities to learn and grow stronger in the end.

The important thing is that you dare to begin again!
