What do you see when you look in the mirror?

What do you see when you look in the mirror?  If your first thought is to notice what you perceive to be a blemish or a flaw, then we need to talk.  If you see yourself as God sees you, you would see yourself as one with divine worth and conscious desires to be your best self.

Be careful to not get caught in the lie that you are “not as good as”

or lacking what you had hoped to become.  There is a fine line between seeing yourself as “less than” versus recognizing as we all do, that gradual improvement is the most important measurement.

you may never hit (1)

You may never hit the perfect version of yourself you’ve envisioned in your mind, but remember, remember, remember, that it’s who you are becoming along the long trail of life that matters most.

It’s been said that beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.  Trying to compare yourself to someone else you admire is never healthy nor realistic.  You yourself, as much as any other person in the world deserve to be given a break for not being even close to perfect.  That’s not to say that we shouldn’t strive to become our very best…just remember that becoming your very best is to not clone yourself with someone that appears to “have it all together.”  Your ability to be who you are is not what holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not that is dangerous.  Smile when looking in the mirror.  Be grateful for your uniqueness.  Know that there is no one else in the universe that offers humanity what you can offer.  Love your possibility for potential and hold tight to who you are and what you can become.

"There is simple beauty in a cairn and the connection it creates with people from the past and from all over the world. It let's us know that we are not alone."
